Overview
Jersey is an island located in the English Channel, northwest of France. It is a self-governing parliamentary democracy and is not part of the United Kingdom. Jersey has a total area of 116 sq. km.
The climate is temperate with mild winters and cool summers. The impact of the Atlantic Ocean and coastal winds ensures that Jersey is slightly cooler than the southern and central parts of England during the summer months.
