Our Services

The list of services we offer our patients include:

Immunisations

Need a travel vaccine in Adelaide? Our team of medical practitioners prescribe immunisations, where relevant, to keep you healthy on your travels. Administered by trained registered nurses, our available vaccines include the routine; measles, mumps, rubella and influenza, to the more complicated, such as yellow fever vaccination in Adelaide. We also provide all associated international certifications for travel.

Our team will only recommend immunisation based on the individual’s requirement, itinerary of the traveller, their health status, when the benefit of the vaccine outweighs the associated risk of complications arising from vaccine side-effects, and when the risk of disease and illness is indicated. Book your travel vaccination in Adelaide with Travel Doctor before your next trip!

Education and advice

Our team of travel health professionals are highly skilled in travel medicine and understand how to keep travellers’ safe, wherever their destination. We have access to up-to-date country-specific information which details the current risk of any disease, illness and travel threat which could impact your trip.

We provide you with any and all information which is relevant to your itinerary and the regions you are visiting. Furthermore, we provide tailored education on how to travel based upon your individual health status.  Whether you are travelling for work, pregnant, travelling with children, disabled, or an elderly traveller – we can provide you with information, tips and tools you need to keep you and your family safe overseas.

Medication

Our travel medicine practitioners prescribe prescription medications to treat several travellers’ illnesses including malaria, schistosomiasis, travellers’ diarrhoea, jetlag and allergies, among others. Additionally, our doctors can prescribe prevention medications including those which inhibit acute mountain sickness (AMS) and malaria preventative measures, which we prescribe dependent on your individual health status and itinerary

Post travel support

Our clinic staff provide consultations and medical support for any traveller experiencing complications following travel. With extensive experience in managing and reporting post-travel illness and disease, we conduct pathology testing to identify the type of illness affecting the traveller, and if required, can refer to an appropriate specialist for treatment and monitoring.

Corporate travel and deployment medicals

We offer corporate travellers and clients an extensive medical program to ensure the health of workers is assessed prior to deployment and on return to Australia. Our medicals include altitude, fitness for deployment medicals, overseas visa medicals and post travel medicals. We are also able to perform, OGUK, Commercial and Recreational Dive Medicals and AMSA Medicals.
